Sailing Away

I have some very good friends who go to Victoria, BC each spring to see the sailing ship festival and tonight as I was looking at these pictures they had sent me a couple of years ago, I had a wonderful idea! What better
way to escape the dirty politics for an evening than sailing across the sea. I could feel the wind in my hair, the sea spray on my face!

So, "Aye, Aye Matey, hoist the sail and let us sail off into the sunset." Afterall, tomorrow is another day! isn't that what Scarlett O'Hara said? Hey, it works for me!

Sylvia, Those boats are absolutely beautiful. I think it would be so much fun to go to this event but since I can't thanks for taking me with your pictures.

It would be nice to escape all this politics, wouldn't it?

There ought to be a law against campaigning for longer then six weeks.

When we lived in Port Townsend, we got to see the annual Wooden Boat Festival. Quite an amazing thing. Yes, sometimes, you've got to set aside the politics of the day and feel the wind in your hair.
